Do animal companion feats have prereqs?

Not the BAB or the INT prereqs that I've been seeing, but for animals, do you have to take certain feats before you take other feats? Like Power Attack is a prereq for Improved Overpower, does that apply to animal companions, also?

Yes.
That leads to such stupid things as an animal with the Grab ability having to take IUS to get better at Grapple, but by RAW they have to take it.

Your GM might rule that some of them aren't necessary as a houserule though
