Powerful Charge

Advice

What is powerful charge doing for this monster?

Arsinoitherium

Starting Statistics

Size Medium; Speed 30 ft.; AC +4 natural armor; Attack gore (1d8); Ability Scores Str 14, Dex 12, Con 15, Int 2, Wis 13, Cha 3; Special Qualities low-light vision, scent.

7th-Level Advancement

Size Large; AC +2 natural armor; Attack gore (2d8); Ability Scores Str +8, Dex –2, Con +4; Special Qualities powerful charge (gore, 2d8), trample. it gives it a regular attack with a gore of 2d8.

yea - but what does powerful charge do there?

Looks like a typo. Powerful charge on other animal companions increase the die by one level.

So it should be 4d6?

Creatures with powerful charge deal additional damage (in this case, 2d8) with the listed attack when charging.

So, a 7th level arsinoitherium deals 2d8 on a regular gore attack, but deals 4d8 when charging.

When making him huge sized and giving him imp. Natural Attack (what brings his gore to 6d6, right?) he would do 12d6 powerful charge?

That's a good question; I assume that the powerful charge damage would also scale with size. But 2d8 steps up to 3d8, so it would be dealing a total of 6d8 (+str and other bonuses, of course) on a charge if it were huge.

Why does it scale to 3d8?

Applying huge should get it to 4d6 (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/rules-for-monsters/universal-monster-rule s#TOC-Table:-Natural-Attacks-by-Size and then getting improved natural attack makes it 6d6, what did I do wrong?

Oh, I think you may be right. I just took a look at the progression in the improved natural attack feat, but the chart you listed is probably more appropriate.
