I generally allow guns in my games but i thought it would be nice nonetheless to have the gunslinger class not be entirely dependent on wether the setting includes the discovery offen gunpowder not. So here goes:
Boltslinger
Even in places where gunpowder ins unheard of some exceptional, daring individuals show talent at marksmanship, these skilled shootists use crossbows instead ofpistols or muskets.
Weapon proficiencies: The boltslinger is proficient with all simple and martial weapons but does not gain proficiency with ans firearms. This replaces the gunslingers normal weapon proficiencies.
Daring crossbowman: The boltslinger treats crossbows as firearms Form the purposes of all gunslinger abilities and feat prerequisites. He cannot use firearms with ans of these abilities or feats however.
Marksman's patience: At first Level the boltslinger learns to fire crossbows with unmatched precision over short ranges. When shooting at a target within his crossbow's Base range, the boltslinger adds his wisdom modifier to his attack rolls made with the crossbow. This ability works with all typeof crossbow (light, heavy, hand, repeating, etc.) This ability replaces the gunsmithing ability.
Deeds: A boltslinger cannot use the Utility shot, quick clear and menacing shot deeds. When using the deadeye deed, He extends the rang of bis marksman's patience ability bye to the specified range instead of the normal effect.
Crossbow Training At fifth level the boltslinger learns mastery with his preferred type of crossbow. This ability works like Gun Training, which it replaces, except the boltslinger chooses a specific Type of crossbow.
.
That is my idea. Letzten mehr know hat you think and if i overlooked anything.

I assume this is to replace the "target touch ac" part of the gunslinger class. I guess it can work as a replacement , but it still seems weird to me. Why not allow the crossbow to target touch ac? The crossbow has a greater range, but you could simply limit that to 30 ft or so.

I didn't go with targeting touch ac, because i don't think a crossbow has the same chance of punching straight through armor, and an ability that lets a character target an opponent's unarmored spots with the same accuracy that another would only the general area occupied by that opponent's silhouette, regardless of how much that armor covers just seems inconsistent to me.

Here is a related feat. It might also make crossbows a little more viable in general.
Amateur Boltslinger
Benefit: This feat works the same way as the amateur gunslinger feat, but with the conditions of the Boltslinger archetype's daring crossbowman and Deeds abilities.

By the way only now i see that my tablet pc's auto correction messed up some of my text despite me painstakingly going over it again and again. I have yet to figure out how to switch that off.
