Mirror Image and Changing Your Look

Rules Questions

If I cast Mirror Image, and then do anything to alter my look significantly -- including don a shield or a whole suit of armor -- do the images look like this now as well? Or do they look how I did when I cast the spell?

The spell says they mimic my actions ... but does this include altering my appearance?

Just to make sure the spell still works, I'd say the spell replicates the same images onto the illusions themselves.

Liberty's Edge

I can't see why not.

Though if your about to put on some heavy armor you may not want to waste the spells duration on that action, as the spells duration may expire before your finished donning it.

If the images don't look like you, then the spell is kind of worthless, no?

Scarab Sages

As others have mentioned, I would think they would change to match your current appearance, otherwise they wouldn't be of any use anymore.

Grand Lodge

They replicate all of your actions. However before you'd finish putting on that plate armor, the spell would have expired.

Only if they are level 4 or under. :)
