Hey,
I just got a new debit card and when I tried to use it to buy some paper minis, I was told it was declined. i thought I might have typed the wrong number,so i tried it a few times. However, according to my bank I've being charged for each attempt. I like you guys but i don't want to just give you my money. What do I need to do?

I just tried to buy the NPC Codex PDF and had the same thing happen to me - payment type declined. Except that I'm using the same card I used to buy stuff from the Black Friday sale earlier today and that was fine.
I've checked with my bank and two payments have been made for the value of the NPC Codex PDF :-(

Looking on another thread, I see that the issue might have been that I hadn't updated my Paizo account address since I moved over six months ago, even though I've been blithely buying all kinds of stuff since that time. Maybe my bank took a while to notice?
Anyhoo, I won't try and make another payment until one of the (frankly awesome) customer service goblins gives me the OK, OK? OK.

I have had similar issues in trying to purchase some Black Friday items. Getting the decline though I am quite good with funding and have not moved in seven years. Other transactions with other sites processing and even already shipping fine and my subscriptions have been coming in fine.. Will dial up cs Monday.

We recently made a small change to our credit card processing, and our system is now much more stringent about having the correct billing address (amongst other things). If you are having issues like this, try re-entering your payment information and make sure that the billing address you enter matches that to which your credit card bill is sent.
If you continue to have problems, let me know and I'll take a look when I'm in the office on Monday. :)
Thanks,.

Hello Cosmo.
I had thought I had both a bill to and ship to address. In looking at my information I do see both but only my ship to address is noted as "active." Is that the problem or are you now only allowing a singular address?
I have had issues with the delivery person (2 formal complaints with usps unfortunately) at my bill to address so that is why I have things shipped to the office.

Looking at the addresses a bit more and I noticed there is no option to differentiate addresses as billing vs. shipping, so I just changed my "other" address to the "active" address and my transaction processed okay.
Any chance you may implement a bill-to/ship-to setup?
Thanks.

Thanks, Cosmo. It worked. I assume the two attempts at purchase that left my account but were denied by the Paizo site gremlins will just bounce back to my hoard.
Wheeee!

I can try to purchase the items again with the proper address, but right now I'm more concerned about the three charges that are still showing up as pending on my bank account. Since on the website they didn't go thru, I don't have an order number. How do I remove those charges?

The good news is that these aren't charges, they are holds placed on your funds by your bank in response to our authorizations and they will expire on their own. However, there's no telling how long that will take (this is up to your bank), so I have put through a reversal request. Whether or not your bank chooses to release the hold on funds because of this request, however, is entirely up to them.
Thanks,
