Alright, if an angel is evil, it has the good sub-type, and it's alignment is evil. Does a paladin get the extra damage and benefits of smite evil?

Any effect that depends on alignment affects a creature with this subtype as if the creature has a good alignment, no matter what its alignment actually is. The creature also suffers effects according to its actual alignment. A creature with the good subtype overcomes damage reduction as if its natural weapons and any weapons it wields are good-aligned.

Yes. It detects as both Good AND Evil and has the worst qualities of both. However, since it is not an evil subtype the damage done is not doubled for the first attack. A good subtype with an evil alignment would not read as an evil subtype. Just standard evil.
