Phylactery of Positive Channeling and Holy Vindicator

I am playing a Paladin who has 1 level dip in Holy Vindicator for the use of the Vindicator Shield. It allows me to channel positive energy into my shield to increase my AC, currently my channel positive energy is 5d6.

I was wondering if I could use the Phylactery of Positive Channeling to increase the amount of positive energy channeled from 5 to 7 into my shield.

The description of the item is:

This item allows channelers of positive energy to increase the amount of damage dealt to undead creatures by +2d6. This also increases the amount of damage healed by living creatures.

Hope this makes sense and any help would be great!

Since it says +2d6, I'd say yes, it does work that way (from 5 to 7).

Also, this seems like more of a general rules question, so flagging it for moving to the rules boards.
