I picked up Ultimate Equipment a few weeks ago and was disappointed to find that some stuff has been left out of it. For example, the Agile weapon enchantment and the runes that act like Pearls of Power for sorcerers. Does anyone know why stuff like this was left out? It's hard to call it "Ultimate" Equipment if it's missing stuff like that.

A good question.
Honestly? It could be due to the fact that it's overpowered. Some of those things left in the miscellaneous Pathfinder books are very powerful, almost gamebreaking.
Take the Wayfinders and Ioun Stones for example. If those were official rules, the game would be on a whole different level of overpowered.

It's because the things from the AP's are Golarion-specific and the rulebooks are there so that they can be used in any campaign setting. There's nothing specifically Golarion-ish about the Agile enchantment, but its source means the two products aren't compatible.
Has nothing to do with power. If they thought they were too powerful they would errata them.

My guess...the devs felt those items were too powerful for the hardback books. While all those softbacks are available for PFS, a lot of the more casual groups are played hardback only and for those crowd, I guess they felt those items would negatively impact the games for those players.
Well, and that's exactly the case with me; when I'm not playing PFS, the books we use are hardcover only. Although I will say our "Casual" games are a lot more hardcore than PFS.

No clue about the Runestones of Power, but the agile weapon enhancement was left out because the design team believes that Dex to Damage is too powerful.
Also, the Runestones of Power weren't priced the same as pearls of power, but rather 2x the price.
Ultimate Equipment was meant to be a compilation of all the hardcover stuff, and some of the hardcover stuff, not all of the softcover stuff :)

Elamdri wrote:They're from the Pathfinder Society Field Guide, priced the same as Pearls of Power.Awesome! Thanks.
(Side note, just to avoid confusion: They're 2x the price of a PoP, but that makes sense, because they're more versatile.)
Ah, yes my bad. I don't actually own the book they're in, but I KNEW IT WAS CLOSE >.>
EDIT: That's right, it was the pages of spell knowledge that are the same price as Pearls of Power. Knew I was thinking of something when I wrote that.
