Broken Wing Gambit & Mounted Combat feat?

Rules Questions

If my mount and I have Broken Wing Gambit, and I have Mounted Combat, wouldn't this be a great combination? The mount can use the Gambit, if the opponent attacks the mount I get the attack of opportunity on it. I can then use Mounted Combat to try to negate the hit.

Am I missing anything or did I accidentally put together a good combination?

i guess that would work, but if an enemy's mount was attacking me (as well as the enemy themself),
in 99% of cases the enemies' own attacks are more of a threat so i would usually take them out, not the mount,
who would likely not continue to fight on it's own anyways, or at least if it isn't pressed.
that said, sometimes attacking the mount is a good idea if you think you can easily down it, making the rider fall.
but whether their mount bit me or not is not usually a factor in determining my targets.
antagonize would be a good feat to 'force' an attack against the mount,
but i don't think most GMs would feel that is appropriate for an animal to use... certainly not PFS-legal.

The animal (dire wolf) in question has an intelligence of 3 or 4, so it can take non-animal feats. I might use it as well to give the animal an attack when we're fighting together unmounted, but while mounted it seemed like an obvious move.

If you're a Cavalier, can you use Tactician to grant your mount Broken Wing Gambit? Are there any other teamwork feats that you'd want to grant your mount (that it can learn)?

you should be able to. i'm not sure if you could do so even if the animal didn't have higher INT.
i think you could, albeit not all feats would be usable by every animal.
