Tranquil Guardians (Paladin archetype) get the following ability:
This ability replaces aura of resolve.
My question is that, am I immune to beneficial emotion spells as well? Like Good Hope, for example? Or can I choose to ignore that immunity for harmless spells?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I've looked through the SRD and skimmed the forums, and I didn't find anything about this.

In 3.5 yes, but by RAW I don't think PF allows its. Is there a way to turn the ability off?
Knock him unconscious, cast the spell, wake him up.

But yes, Tranquil Guardian Paladin's can't be affect by Good Hope because they are immune to them.
A Fire Elemental is immune to Fire, so he is immune to Fireball.
A normal Paladin is immune to Charm Spells, so they can't be affect by any Charm spell at all.

Actually, it's a little vague, but it ought to be possible:
Voluntarily Giving up a Saving Throw
A creature can voluntarily forgo a saving throw and willingly accept a spell's result. Even a character with a special resistance to magic can suppress this quality.

If the Tranquil Guardian's immunity to emotion spells is considered a special resistance to magic (and it should be), they should be able to suppress it. Whether that's considered no action like voluntarily failing a saving throw, or whether it's a standard action like dropping SR is unclear.
