Using an Anchor as a weapon.

Homebrew and House Rules

So, the idea was originally having a Sailor/Pirate Character with a Reaver's Net (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/3rd-party-magic-items/3rd-party-magic- weapons/weapons/bastion-press/reaver-s-net) but now, I would like to use an Anchor as a weapon, I anyone have any idea how I could make this item?

I assumed just using a Greataxe that does Bludgeoning damage (maybe making it a "clumsy" weapon) would work, anyone got anything better?

But also, It would be further interesting if I could have a chain attached said Anchor, throw it about 5-10 feet, grab the chain and a do a long-range Whirlwind attack.

Thoughts?

Meteor Hammer as a basis, maybe? Note that with the Rough and Ready trait, you should be able to use stuff related to Profession: Sailor as weapons with no penalty. That would likely include anchors.

Liberty's Edge

Your GM might go for using a heavy flail.

Oh man I forgot about Meteor Hammer, good deal sir, thank you, and Rough and Ready would save me from having to take Improved Weapon Specialist.

A huge spiked chain :D

An anchor is heavier than a greatax, so it would use a larger die for damage. It can also do piercing. For him to do anything else, he would have to put down the anchor.
