Dragon Gods?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I'm asking this for my GM.

The old previous unmentionable game had some some named gods for the dragons. There was 1 for the evils and 1 for the goods. I won't mention the names incase that was an intelectual property-trademark thing. I don't want the trademark politize showing up at my door.

Is there an equivalent for PF/Golarion?
If yes, which book has them?

thx

Here's a link to Pathfinder Wiki that describes Aspu and mentions several other Pathfinder dragon gods. http://www.pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Apsu

Sure are.

Apsu, who ChaiGuy linked, is the lawful good dragon god.
Dahak is the chaotic evil dragon god.

A little confusingly, Tiamat is Apsu's mate and Dahak's mother. She isn't traditionally worshipped by Golarion's dragons (and is more like the mythical Tiamat than D&D's Tiamat).

They're covered briefly in Gods and Magic. I'm not sure if there are other sources out there.

Cheers!

The dragons of the Pathfinder campaign setting are covered extensively in earlier products. Pathfinder AP #4 has a whole article on dragons (including their origin story), while Dragons Revisited can likely answer any other questions you might have about these creatures.

There was some crosstalk about this on the "Ask James Jacobs" thread.

He said that Paizo can use the name "Tiamat" because it's from mythology, but they can't use the "seven-headed queen of the evil dragons" from D&D, because that implementation is part of WOTC intellectual property. The dragon stuff in Pathfinder #4 and Dragons of Golarion were both written before many of the specifics of Golarion were nailed down. If they were to re-write that stuff, they would quietly excise mention of Tiamat.

So, by canon, the god of good dragons is Aspu, and the god of evil dragons is Dahak.

thx folks!
i will let him know.

Sorry, there is no book "Dragons of Golarion." (That's the title of the article in Pathfinder #4). The book I meant to reference is Dragons Revisited.
