Hello again! I'm sure I'm almost done with these questions!
Firstly to the important one. I live in a city, that to my knowledge, has no active Pathfinder Society groups. Is it possible just to start running games myself? Do I contact my FLGS for sponsor ship? Is there a link/faq that can supply me with all this information? My gaming group has five very active GMs who love the Pathfinder rules and setting, so we probably could share the duties a bit, and try to draw in other people from the community.
Second question. I can not seem to find guidelines for posting on the Faction Forums. Is anyone allowed to start a thread? Can soft-rp by post be done in them? Is it all assumed to be letter writing and response ala bulletin board?
And I suppose one final question: Interaction with other Characters. Can me and a pal make brothers? If I talk to a character over the forums, can I make mention of him to other pc's around the table? Is it legit that me and another player who's characters met at a con last year remember each other if we find each other at a table together again?
Thanks again. I'm just about to go over eq for my character so I'm getting a little more excited.
-Josh

1) Absolutely! Where do you live? I bet there is PFS being run within an hour or two of you. If not, anyone can organize and run a PFS table in any location, even online if you want.
2) Anyone can start a thread. You're free to roleplay as much or as little as you want. Jump in!
3) Of course you can. I've seen all sorts of crazy in-character relationships. Whatever drives you to play and enjoy your character is perfectly okay (with the exception of being evil or being a jerk).

Hi Josh,
You can run all the games you want on your own, as far as I know there is no need for a sponsorship unless that is the way your FLGS works. What I would do is visit the society page (link on the left with the big society logo) which has some great resource information (not that posting on the forums is bad by any means). I would talk to your FLGS to set up a time to play at their store (if they schedule things) and then have your group in there to play -- maybe have one or two that would be willing to step-out of the game if there is a newbie that wanted to play.
Posting in the faction forums is fun and entertaining, I would just follow the status that has been set for that specific faction already as I don't think there are any special rules for posting in those areas.
Interactions between characters is quite fun; yes you and a friend can make brothers and discuss things; yes you and another player can remember eachother from other conventions and have fun with that sort of role-play

Happy to help in any way that I can -- I started as a VC because there was nobody in my area playing or running games. Sometimes you need to take that first step to get things going. ^_^
(And yes, in-character relations can be fun. My brother-in-law and I have characters based on the Stabbington brothers from Tangled. "Headbutt." "Greatsword." Done!)
