Truly editable character sheet

Liberty's Edge

With the advent of tablet computers etc it is becoming more common for players such as myself to keep an electronic copy of their character sheet, instead of or along with a paper copy.

Their is an editable Pathfinder sheet, but like the Wotc sheet, the data can only be entered once, then the sheet is permanently locked, thus making it great for presenting characters for one-shots, but almost useless for a player to maintain an electronic record of his character.

Might I suggest that Paizo produce an editable pdf character sheet that can be constantly adjusted and updated. Redbrick did so for their Earthdawn game. Following the revision of the game the sheet is no longer on their website but here it is from my Dropbox account to demonstrate.

Such a sheet for Pathfinder would be great!

If you have Adobe Reader, under the "sign" menu there is an option of adding text to the PDF.

I've tried this on the sheets in the Character Folio, and the character sheet in the Community User pack. You make your changes, then do a "save as" (renaming the file to be saved). Later you can re-open the file and edit it further as the character changes.

I was just doing that a few minutes ago, and then I saw your post.

Oh man, I thought this was about an edible character sheet.

Sort of disappointed now.

Thank you, thank you! :-D

Every time I see this thread I have to do a double-take because I think the title is "Truly edible character sheet" and wonder to myself, "why would anyone want to eat a character sheet?"
