Crazy idea: Summon Monster SLA (feat) powered by spell slots

Well, Summon Monster is 9 spells. What if it was one spell like ability, powered by a spell slot, granted by a feat? The feat should give access to augment summoning...

The idea is to make it possible somehow to specialize in the spell(like ability).

Pro & Con? Goofy-scale 1-10?

You're turning a class feature into a feat (Summoner class).

Anybody who wants to summon has the monsters on their spell lists. And there are ways to get spontaneous Summons for the prepared casters (sort of).
