Sorry folks, I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find the answer. I just need some clarification on tier and the replay rules. A scenario, say, 4-01 Rise of the Goblin Guild. It is a Tier 1-5, with 1-2, and 3-5 sub tiers. If you play this module, or DM it for the 1-2 tier, does that count as being a Tier 1 module for the replay rules?

Otherwise, could someone please point me to scenarios, other then the Season 3 intro modules that are strictly speaking Tier 1?

No, 4-01 is a Tier 1-5 scenario, which is different than a Tier 1. You cannot replay it for credit. As per the GM credit rules, you can play once, and then GM it and apply credit for it to a different character once.

The full list of tier 1 scenarios and modules are, including the Intro series for people who are just going to glaze over the request not to include them in and skip down to the list, are:
First Steps Series
We Be Goblins (Free RPG Day module)
Crypt of the Everflame (Module)
The Godsmouth Heresy (Module)
Murder's Mark (I believe a yet-to-be-released Module)
Master of the Fallen Fortress (Module)

4/5 *

Also remember for Godsmouth Heresy, Crypt of the Everflame, and Murder's Mark that you can play and GM those once for credit on a level 2 character and infinitely for a level 1 character.

It's the same way for We Be Goblins!, too.

Just so I'm clear, tier 1 to 2 sanctioned modules can be GMed infinitely for 1st level credit too? Or is it only for playing? I ask because I've now GMed We Be Goblins three times, and was under the impression I could GM it multiple times for credit. I don't care if I can't, and I'll happily tear up the chronicle sheets for the second and third characters if they were applied in error. I'm just confused because the reporting system keeps yelling at me for one of the three (but only one, not two) times I GMed it, saying I've already received credit.

For Level 1 Modules you can get GM credit for PCs every time you GM it.

That said, you should only see that error you mentioned if you gave the credit to the same PC.

You cannot get credit for the module on the same PC *GM credit or Playing credit*

I have them applied to three different characters, and I'm still getting the error on one of them. I've tried deleting the session with the error and re-reporting it, and it fixes that error but adds the error to one of the other sessions. It's like it always wants the error on the second most recent character. It's bizarre.

Actually, I believe there may be a system error for We Be Goblins that will give a "player has already run scenario ..." message when reporting that you have GM'd it more than once and take GM credit for it on a different level 1 PC.

As I understand it, if you can replay it for credit, you can re-GM it for credit too.

that must be a new error, because I am not getting that error for the 3 times I applied GM credit to a PC.

Okay, so should I just ignore it and keep my chronicles since the bug is known? Or should I report the problem?

I've had exactly that error when reporting WBG for GM credit on multiple characters (one a 2nd level, the others at 1st). 'Player has already run scenario at session...'. I know I've followed the rules, so I'm not worrying about it.

The paizo reporting system is a bit haphazard, especially with modules (it appears to be designed primarily with scenarios in mind).

If it comes back with an error, recheck to make sure you've done everything right, but after that, you should be good.
