Okay so I was working on converting a character from an anime when I realized that Eldritch Heritage was a good go to for the effects I want with the Accursed Bloodline. However, the Dream Walking ability seems like a bit of a head turner at a closer look.
Dream Walking (Sp): At 15th level, you can enter the ethereal plane. This functions like ethereal jaunt, but with a duration of 1 minute for every 2 sorcerer levels you possess. Once during this trip, you may cast nightmare as a spell-like ability on a creature you see on the Material Plane. (This is an exception to the normal rule that ethereal creatures cannot affect targets on the Material Plane).
So if I'm reading this correctly, there isn't a limit on the times it can be used a day? Aside from the Nightmare limit of once per Jaunt, it doesn't have the text that other abilities have text that clearly outlines the amount of times per day this can be used.
So I could put someone to sleep with a spell, jaunt & nightmare them as the power allows. Then I could end it early, as the spell allows, then re-jaunt? That seems, slightly overpowered when combined with the extended duration. Granted it's a level 15/17 ability, provokes an AoO as a spell-like ability, and so on but still.
Am I missing some other text limiting this? Am I just reading this wrong? I'm not near my Ultimate book atm, so all I have is the srds to go on.

It's not listed, but I'd guess they forgot to add the "you can use these ability non-consecutively but in 1 minute intervals", like most things like that seem to have.
I would think so, but RAW there's nothing to support that. And to my knowledge they haven't errata'd it.
Also, let's pretend it is intended to be used multiple times, it still is a sorta niche ability. Jaunt's never come up in any game I've been in, and the few times we've actually needed to be ethereal, we just used Etherealnees due to the duration & need to bring multiple people into the plane.
Though, ruling it like this really does hold the potential for Nightmares to actually kill someone sleeping, assuming they are capable of popping in and out of etherealness without trouble & they failing a save after each nightmares' 10 minute casting time.
But really the most potent application for this ability seems that it would be a really powerful siege/escape ability. I'm in trouble, jaunt away. I need to get to the bottom/top of this dungeon? Jaunt there.
Again, it's a super late game ability either way though.
