Wizard Monk

Advice

I had an awesome idea for a Monk with a level of Wizard. Basically Monk 4/Wizard 1. I'm thinking it should be focused in Transmutation specialized in Enhancement and getting Enlarge Person, Mage Armor, Grease, and Expeditious Retreat. Using a 15 pt build and a Half-Orc, I'm thinking Str 15, Dex 12, Con 13, Int 12, Wis 16, Cha 7. With this in mind, I'm still not sure what to do with the arcane bond however, nor have I come up with which feats to get. Any tips or suggestions?

Don't forget Shield and True Strike. With Shield you get another +4 to AC, for a killer AC. With True Strike you can actually score hits with that stunning fist.

However, I would recomend you consider sorcerer - there is an archetype that uses Wisdom instead of Charisma to cast from, this helps you cut down on MAD.

The problem with sorcerer is that they start off with only two known 1st level spells which can't be increased by stat bonuses or learned from some other source than leveling up. Truestrike is really nice, I'll replace Expeditious retreat with that. And shield is good but would only last a round. So I'll pick up Expeditious Retreat and Shield later (that's the great thing about the wizard, can learn an infinite number of spells even at level 1). Also with the transmutation school, the wizard monk can apply a bonus to a physical ability score that lasts the whole day. Actually thinking about it though it would probably be better to take the shapechange specialization to get battle shaping as swift action, because Augment takes a standard action to cast and only last one round.

I'm thinking the the arcane bond should be a temple sword.

Actually it will last a minute rather than a round, and you may want to consider an amulet as the divine focus as it can give you an effectively half-price amulet of mighty fists later.
