Combining specific magic items

Are they rules in Pathfinder for combining specific magic items? The items I have in mind is the Huricane Quaterstaff and the Quaterstaff of Vaulting from Ultimate Equipment.

Yes, Adding New Abilities, Core Rulebook page 553. Note: you cannot do this in Pathfinder Society.

Ok so it would be 1.5 the cost. So if I wanted to add the powers of a Hurricane Quaterstaff ($7,840) to the Quaterstaff of Vaulting ($19,100) the total price would be ($30,860)? Or do I minus the cost of it being a +1/+1 since the Quatestaff of Vaulting is already a +1/+1? So the price at that point would be $24,860...

No and here is why:

First of all, combining specific weapons (which the Quarterstaff might be considered to be one...might not depends on the GM) is considered 'GM fiat' territory. So all of this is just how a GM should do it, not how he will do it.

Quarterstaves do not occupy a specific slot so you do not need to apply the +50% cost.

Next, since both quarterstaves are +1/+1 you do not need to add that cost twice. Subtract 4,600gp from the final total.

Final price should be: 7840gp (Hurricane) + 19100gp (Vaulting) - 4600gp (removing the cost of the +1/+1 and Masterwork duplication) = 22340gp.

With that said, a GM might still assign a cost to merging them up to and including +50% for the Hurricane property.
