Okay, so my campaign is at a point where my players are about to delve into a flying tower powered by dragon orbs and surrounded by flying dragons.
I am trying to get an idea of how to map this thing out.
At the center is a 12th level bard, 12th level arcane caster.
I was just curious if anyone had some ideas for how I could set this up, there is a red, blue, and black dragon flying around the outside of the place defending the tower. The party is APL 12, if that makes a difference to anyone.

Greetings, fellow travellers.
I think mapping is not an issue, since it's basically going to be like any other dungeons when it comes to draw the lines on the grid - add dragon minis circling around it.
How big is this tower going to be? AKA: Will the dragons be able to access its interior with ease (say hallways 40 ft. x 40 ft. or bigger allowing flight?), or is it designed to accomodate only medium and maybe large size land-based creatures?
At roughly 12th level the PCs should be able to bypass the dragons (scrying + teleport?).
If not:
Depending on what else your PCs will encounter the dragons should be ~CR 11 (adult age category). I'd add one after the other to the battle with 1 round delay each.
After that, they should reach the tower; question is: will the dragons be able to inform the caster (BBEG?) inside giving him time to prep?
Also, I'd give the bard a bodyguard.
