Okay, in my current arc my players are travelling through a land besieged by undead, and have taken to travelling at night battling the undead and sleeping during the day. Now for the next town they're to reach, I want it to be free of undead through magical means. It's starved citizens clinging to a preverbial iceburg in the sea of undead, wary of the foreign travelers approaching them.
Immediately my mind went to Magic Circle against evil, since I try to avoid making homebrew spells. And frankly allowing permanancy on magic circle's about as far as I would want to go. But then I realized the range increment was only 10 feet... So I turn to the advice forum for advice, is there a "bigger" area sized Magic Circle? Or some other more mundane way to make it bigger, like how a diagram can give it additional properties? Or is there simply a better spell for the job?
I only want it to keep out things like Zeds and skeletons, I'm planning on having a graveknight bust through it and attack them when they think they're safe(if they do that is).

Depending on your level, forbiddance is the crown jewel of 'protect us from the evil undead things' type spells. It is costly (an 11th level caster can create 11 60x60x60-foot cubes in a single casting for 18,000 gp), but it is permanent. For 72,000 gp and four castings of the spell, you can protect the perimeter of a town measuring 600' by 600' with a defensive perimeter that extends an additional 60' out. 144,000 gp and eight castings will get you 1,200' by 1,200' behind your perimeter, which is more than enough for most villages.
Of course, most villages don't have 144,000 gp at their disposal to pay for eight castings or the 11th-level cleric to do it. But, if they have a church or a temple, they might have been able to scrounge up enough to pay for 1 casting (18,000 gp) to cover a 180x180x60 foot area, plus two more 60x60x60 foot cubes if they need it. Sort of an 'emergency undead shelter of last resort' if you will.

That's totally overkill for what I want, especially with the sheer amount of damage it does... And super expensive. I'll keep that in mind for future plans though.
Hallow is probably what you want. It has a range of 40 ft. radius, and comes with a magic circle against evil effect, plus one of several other spells. It's pricey, 1,000 gp plus 1,000 gp per level of extra spell though.
This though is just what I'm looking for. Thank you! :D
Quick Question though, I assume I can cast this in several adjacent 40ft zones?
