Heirloom Naginata?

Rules Questions

The Naginata is listed under Table: Eastern Weapons—Martial in the PRD. Since it's listed as Martial, does it qualify for Heirloom Weapon, which can only be applied to a Simple or Martial weapon? Or are Eastern weapons disqualified? I'm not sure what the "Eastern" category really does, rules-wise.

Only a DM's houserule will stop you from getting a Naginata Heirloom weapon.

The Heirloom Weapon trait sucks by the way.

Not if I'm planning an AoO/reach build and have access to Masterwork Transformation.

Plus it suits the character. I could just take Tianjien Temple Guard, but I like the idea of battered family weapon more.

You will never be able to replace it a special material weapon.

In fact, you will never be able to replace it if lost.

What class are you going for?

You could have a lot better options.

The Opalescent White Pyramid Ioun Stone, or the Bestow Weapon Proficiency spell works.

What is your class?

It's a PFS character. I'm not going to lose the weapon. :)

Okay.
