The Setup is an Eidolon with simple and martial weapon evolutions, as well as Both shadow form and shadow blend evolutions, attacking with manufactured weapons.
Does the 50% damage from being 'shadowy' apply to an Eidolon with weapons in this scenario? (I'm inclined to say yes reading the wording.)
I'm unsure if I need to disable this effect via the free action, make my attacks, then turn it back on or not, or if that even matters.
Bonus question:
Mechanically I can see it actually being an issue when a summoner wants to heal his Eidolon via touch if it has total concealment via this method. Is that what would happen?

[the eidolon with shadow form's] melee attacks affect incorporeal creatures as if it had the ghost touch weapon property. The eidolon's melee attacks deal only half damage to corporeal creatures.
It reads like it would also affect manufactured attacks, but only melee. So it could use a bow and be perfectly fine.
Where did you find disabling it with a free action?

More interesting would be giving the eidolon weapons with the ghost touch property.
I assume that would allow the eidolon with shadow form to do full damage.
I didn't think of that. Clever.
@Marian under the desc. of the shadow blend states it can be turned on or off as a free action.

Under the shadow form ability it says they already act as if they had ghost touch. The 50% less damage to corporeals is a separate effect.

Yes. and with a Ghost Touch sword, they are back to doing 100% damage to both, and keeping total cover, right?

No, the 50% damage is a result of the eidolon ability. Using the weapon doesn't change that RAW. If it said the eidolon's natural melee attacks did 50% damage you'd be able to get away with it. The ability just states melee attacks so all melee damage is reduced.
