Hello everyone,
our group for Carrion Crown (all 9th lvl starting book 4) consists of
paladin (undead scourge), rogue, ranger(switch hitter) and sorceress (bf control)
I am wanting to join in as a Support Cleric and was thinking about an Aasimar or Human Cleric of Saranrae (Sun & Glory (Heroism)). As i dont plan on focusing on Meele with our Party setup I thought about Summoning. We have never really used summoning much. Another option would be to focus on channeling maybe but thats really going only to focus on undead..
What do you think? What would be a nice concept for our Group?
STR 8 CON 12 DEX 12 INT 8 WIS 16+2+2 CHA +2
were the Stats I was thinking about
Thank you

I'm playing a cleric of Sarenrae in an Age of Worms PbP here on the Paizo boards, currently at 9th level. My cleric, Friar Feres (you can take a look at his build in his profile), was built using 20 point-buy with the goal to be mainly effective against undead - the Sun and Glory domains really synergize well together for this. Interestingly enough I also typically include the level 2-5 Summon Monster spells in my daily spell preparations. In my opinion, as a cleric of Sarenrae you could be very effective at both summoning and channeling, and even be a significant secondary contributor to combat. For example, looking at Feres' build I could've easily switched Lightning Reflexes, Iron Will, and Great Fortitude for Spell Focus (Conjuration), Augment Summoning, and possibly Sacred Summons (not as sure about that one). Plus, if I were building Feres today I would definitely take the Heroism subdomain of the Glory domain.
All in all, I think such a cleric would be a strong addition for your group. Have fun!
