Need Rage Prophet Advice

Hi everyone. Just wondering...

Since I am taking an Oracle Level at Level 3, I am thinking about taking the Lame Curse and having Mystery of Metal (Dancing Blades) with Extra Revelation Feat (Armor Mastery).

I know that in the Mystery of Fire there is a Revelation similar to Dancing Blades (Cinder Dance) that you can't take Lame as your curse. However, it does not state I could not take Lame Curse while taking Dancing Blades.

I already move at 30 ft (with my armor, 40 without). When I go through this route I would move at 40 ft with or without armor.

I am not sure if it is considered "cheesy" but please feel free to express your opinions and/or pointers for me.

If the mystery doesn't explicitly say you can't do something that would otherwise be legal to do (lame curse with dancing blades as opposed to lame curse with cinder dance) then it should be fine for you to do so.

I wouldn't consider it cheesy at all. You are specifically going for the oracle/barbarian cross-over PrC, so come up with whatever you can that would optimize it to your flavor.

What would be cheesy is dipping into a lame oracle for 1 level specifically to get its benefit of not being fatigued.

Andrew,

I'm planning to take Oracle from Level 3-6 and going through the Rage Prophet Prestige Class from 7-post retirement.

Going this route would make me immune to fatigue starting at level 7 (first level in Prestige Class). However, if I were to dip only one level into Oracle I would not be considered immune till level 10. If I do not take any levels in Oracle I would not get immunity till post retirement.

However, If I go through Rage Prophet and pick a curse other than Lame, I would not even get immunity to fatigue, but I would be moving at a speed of 50 ft with or without armor.

So the only two options for me since I am taking levels in Oracle would be: 1) with the Lame Curse with the Mystery of Metal with the two revelations I mentioned earlier to get immunity to fatigue at level 7 while moving at 40 ft, or 2) a different curse with Mystery of Metal to make me move at 50 ft at level 3 without immunity to fatigue.

For what its worth, I have a level 12 Rage Prophet getting ready to go through Eyes of Ten.

Oracle 4 /Barbarian 2 / Rage Prophet 6

He's a Battle Oracle with Deaf curse.

He is also an Invulnerable Rager.

He does quite well actually.

I have a Rage Prophet. I went Barbarian 2, Oracle 3-6 and Rage Prophet 7-9. He is currently 1 XP from level 10. He took the Battle mystery and the Lame curse. I don't think I have seen a Barbarian/Oracle with anything other than the Lame curse - the combo is that good.

I probably will stop at 4 levels of rage prophet. With the level 12 cap, I am hesitant to give up another caster level for the level 5 and 6 rage prophet abilities. Rage Prophet looks a lot better in the book than it does when you try to play it. You just lose too much for multiclassing in the fine print of the prestige class.
