I actually just read this as I will be running it Saturday. The harpy combat block doesn't say that only 1 harpy sings. Their plan is to get as many players as possible so it looks like so they all sing.

I will admit its as brutal as it was in another mod

If a PC is in range of (say) three harpies' songs, and fails a save against each of them, how do you determine which one the PC approaches?

D3 is how I'd do it, or just simply pick one.

I would rule that he/she approaches the one for which the first failed save was rolled (and tell the player not to roll anymore). YMMV.

This. Stop over-complicating things.

Here's another related hypothetical situation:

Round 1: Harpy sings, victim fails his save & is fascinated.
Round 2: Harpy stops singing & swoops down to attack victim while he is still vulnerable. Victim survives attack.
Round 3: Harpy moves away & resumes singing.

Does the victim get another save because it's a new instance of the song, or is he still entranced because the fascination effect wasn't interrupted?

I know which way I would rule, but I can see it being argued either way and I'm curious what other people think.

When something lasts for 1 round, it ends right before that initiative count on the following round. Therefore, when the ability "coasts" for 1 round, it's over before the harpy's next turn starts.

I plan on going tomorrow, I hope there are still openings for PFS play there.

THIS has some talk about a harpy's captivating song

Hi Bob. Thanks for the link. It seems the question about the standard actions has been largely resolved but several other questions brought up in that thread and this haven't been answered, most notably about the coup de grace.

IMO (for what its worth) if the target "offers no resistance" to the harpy's attacks, a coup de grace would seem to make sense. Even if not, the harpy has multiple attacks (2 weapon attacks plus 2 talon attacks) so it could just full attack for 2d8+2d6+2 with what I would assume are auto-hits.
