Help with Vanara Pistolero, please!

Advice

Hi, my is starting an Anthro Steampunk Pathfinder Campaing this friday. So far, I only know there is gonig to be an alchemist bearman and a wizard maybe. The GM said we can pick any race an upgrade them until the are 15 points worth, also we got 15 points for stats. The setting is 17th cetury england so guns are commonplace.

I want to play a introvert victorian sir and I need some help with number crunching. So far I've come up with:

Engineer Joseph Smith:
Vanara Pistolero N LVL1

7 ponts worth traits:
-Lucky, Lesser
-Greater Defensive Trainig

Stats:

STR 7
DEX 19
CON 10
INT 14
WIS 16
CHA 5

Skills:
Acrobatics +10
Stealth +10
Perception +7
Profesion/ craft steampunk stuff +6/7
Bluff +1
Climb +9
Knowledge (Engineering) +6

Feats: Point Blank Shot

Traits: Rich Parents, Ancestral Weapon (a revolver)

Thanks in advance,
Yawar

Well, obviously the main thing I would question is the era of the setting for guns. For 17th century England, I would not look for it to be "guns everywhere" really. The revolver is a bit too high class for the time period. Maybe a pepper box.

This is especially a problem since you are first level. Remember, this would reduce your loading speed by one step, yet have no penalty seen with the usual cartridges. Heck, even the pepper box might be too high level, since you shoot six times using only free actions to turn the barrels. Maybe a double barreled pistol. And if you are not using some kind of alchemic cartridges, your load time would be a bit bad I think since you did not take rapid reload.

Other than all that though, just be wary of going over a light load with that strength

*EDIT* Yeah, looked at the fire arm era rules. With commonplace fire arms, a revolver is a weapon worth 4,000 gold. At first level. The only reason they get a discount in "Guns Everywhere" is because, obviously, everyone can use them. Sure, you can significantly reduce that price using gunsmithing, but that is still 2,000 gold.
