Im starting to run Curse of the crimson throne and I have this wierd dillema obut some of the encounters there.
Pcs go into a room and see a character intimidating some children to fight the PCs with forks. Now you have this group of children who are forced to attack these 4 guys and a small aligator like dinosaur.
Now our druid took the Companion boon feat and his dinosaur has 5th level and imagine how an animal would react to a group of goblins trying to stick a pointy stick at him. Probably the PCs don't want to be labled as children murderers and will try to inflict leathal damage but what about the aniamal companion?
How can the druid stop him with the use of Handle Animal and what the DC should be?

Aside from the post above, the druid can use his handle animal skill to command his companion to back down by using the "down" trick, or point another target with "attack" as a free action. At DC 10 (for which the druid has a free +4 bonus), this should be an auto-success for a 5th-level druid. Even if the druid has not selected the "down" trick, he can "push" his companion to do so as a move action, but DC is 25 (still at +4) and not likely to auto-succeed just yet. If all fails, use wild empathy.
Link (Ex): A druid can handle her animal companion as a free action, or push it as a move action, even if she doesn't have any ranks in the Handle Animal skill. The druid gains a +4 circumstance bonus on all wild empathy checks and Handle Animal checks made regarding an animal companion.

First of: Note that Boon Companion never increases the power of the animal companion beyond the character's level. A 1st level druid that takes Boon Companion has no use at all for it - but a Druid 1/Fighter 8 who takes it will have a companion as though it was a Druid 5.
I'm not sure if you're aware of this but your designation of "druid" (rather than druid/something) and the design of the encounter suggests they are not 5th level.
Second of all, it's the "Down" trick:
Down: The animal breaks off from combat or otherwise backs down. An animal that doesn’t know this trick continues to fight until it must flee (due to injury, a fear effect, or the like) or its opponent is defeated.
If the alligator knows the trick, the DC is 10 (free action). If it doesn't, the DC is 25 (move action). The druid gains a +4 circumstance bonus on all such check with it's animal companion.

There's also a 3.5 trick from the Arms and Equipment Guide called "Subdue" which instructs the companion to use nonlethal damage (at the usual penalty). If you allow importing it to Pathfinder, it might be a useful alternative to having the companion sit out combats, especially if the players find themselves using nonlethal takedowns frequently.
If the druid hasn't trained the companion with Subdue beforehand, it'll be the DC 25 Handle Animal check as a move action.
