About Armor bonus and dex modifier

Rules Questions

If my dexterity is a 9, and I was calculating my ac, will the negative dex still apply to the flatfooted score, or is it possible to have a higher flatfooted modifier than a basic AC modifier?

Flat-footed specifically says "dexterity bonus" so RAW you still keep the penalty.

Yup, makes no sense really that you get harder to hit when you pay no attention.

As Skylancer said.

a Bonus is only ever a positive number
a Penalty is only ever a negative number
and a Modifier can be either positive or negative

Remember this it will be on the final exam.
