So in the middle of building a Apollyon worshipping Ettercap blight druid for my parties to take on at the climax of this adventure, She's meant to be a nasty beasty collecting the souls of those it and it's minions kill to appease it's foul master. Now the concept is pretty fun the one problem I'm running into is that by crunch rules I end up with a 6 Int and 6 Cha which, to me feels a little low for the mastermind/caller of a powerful daemon plague. Does anyone else feel the same way and think I should bump it up a bit to fit the idea (at least the Int) or do you have some way of explaining very low Int on a powerful cult leader like this?
For a little background she was a powerful druid with a large brood who has hunted the denizens of this jungle/swamp for ages killing nomadic tribes and imperial warriors alike. She was thought of as something like a cross between dark spirit and predator from the movie of the same name, a beast that hunts without being seen and should be hidden from rather then confronted. She discovered Apollyon and the faith by accident while looking for a new place to construct her nest and breed the next generation of her foul brood. Once there she heard the whispers of her foul master and was offered his blessings upon the next generation of her brood in exchange for spreading his gift upon the weak creatures of the surrounding world, in this case through a massive plague.
So with that in mind any ideas?

Make the druid #2 instead of #1. The real mastermind can either be with her, but physically unable to accomplish its goals without the druid, or far away giving orders through some sort of divination spells.
This way also allows you to continue the campaign and possibly have an ongoing bad guy that's pulling strings from behind the curtain.

That was sort of the plan as of right now she is getting lead along by a Daemon trapped within a specially designed iron flask that none of them can open. That being said she is still supposed to be this viscous predator that has methodically hunted and stalked these jungles for decades and a pretty powerful player therein for the most part and I feel like the Int at least is a bit low for that kind of villain. I was thinking on pumping it to like a 10 what do you think?
