printing scenarios

is it ok to have a scenario printed off? My local staples refused to, and I don't have a printer.

I don't know why staples refused to. How else are you going to be able to judge it if you don't have a portable computing device handy?

It is, to the best of my knowledge, totally legal.

Most of the big copy places have systems in place that won't print a locked PDF. They also have ways to work around it for legitimate use. Try FedEx or ask to speak to a supervisor at Staples if that's your only option. Local Library may also have printing available.

Spoiler:
Man, but the word 'legitimate' looks horrible these days.

I've never had trouble having Kinkos (FedEx) print them. Their copiers will not allow you to do so from a thumb drive due to the lock.

Just bring the drive to the counter, explain the presence of the lock, explain that there is a watermark on the file with your name and email address to prove ownership, and offer up an ID to prove it is yours.

Yeah, I was alittle mystified why they wouldn't except she said it needs to be expressly stated ishe can print it. I even showed her the watermark.

This. I had to do this the first time I printed at Staples, and now they know me and just do it.

However, they still won't let you selectively print a few pages of the PDF, they make you print the whole thing because that's what you have the permission to do. Means you get a few extra pages of ads - I usually hand them out as "prizes" to people as a joke.

If the copy center expert, that is the name of the person in charge of that area, gives you any grief after showing them that piece of paper ask for a manage and they should sort it out. I work for staples and I print all my materials there for my game days. It really isn't a problem.
