Spell Focus (Earth)?

So I have a player who is playing an Earth School Wizard who took the Spell Focus feat. He wanted to do Earth instead of the usual schools. After thinking about it I said ok, that it only apply to spells that carry the Earth descriptor. Is this too little bang for the buck?

Elemental Focus just focuses on spells that to energy damage.

Without counting spells per level, I thinkd its at least as useful as Spell Focus (abjuration).

Earth spells are often conjuration spells. A simple Spell Focus(Conjuration) will grant him same benefits. Elemental Spell(Acid) might also be idea since Acid is somewhat connected with earth spells often.

I would say the Earth descriptor and the Acid descriptor.

Why not simply allow Spell Focus(Earth) to provide the benefit to all spells included in the Earth School?

That is what I actually said at the table and is my original thought. Though I am @Malag because he is right then followed up with transmutation. I am about to send a txt to the player and talk about it.
