Synthesist, Claws and Improved Damage Evolution

Rules Questions

2 questions popped up for me when I was reading Improved Damage Evolution and the Synthesist. if you had 2 pairs of claws would Improved Damage Evolution increase the damage of both pairs of claws such as 4 hands or 2 hands and 2 feet?

If the Synthesist took the Improved Damage feat would that stack with the Improved Damage Evolution?

thank you for any help!

I imagine so. If you have to get the claws as a package, then I would say they benefit from all the enhancements together. I honestly didn't even think it could work any other way.

The feat and the evolution are going to stack because they come from different sources.

Silver Crusade

Quote:

Improved Natural Attack

Attacks made by one of this creature's natural attacks leave vicious wounds.

Prerequisite: Natural weapon, base attack bonus +4.

Benefit: Choose one of the creature's natural attack forms (not an unarmed strike).

That seems pretty clear that it would affect all the claws.

Quote:
Improved Damage (Ex): One of the eidolon's natural attacks is particularly deadly. Select one natural attack form and increase the damage die type by one step. This evolution can be selected more than once. Its effects do not stack. Each time an eidolon selects this evolution, it applies to a different natural attack.

Also clearly says "Form" in the text, so I would say that yes, they would stack.

wow that's like the best 1pt spent ever!!!

Silver Crusade

Yes. It's very powerful.

The feat bumps the d4 to a d6

The evolution bumps the d6 to a d8

Making the creature Large bumps the d8 to 2d6 and has reach 10

Making it huge bumps the 2d6 to 3d6 and has reach 15

Casting enlarge person on it, making it gargantuan bumps it up to 4d6 and reach 20

It's nasty
