Just looking at my credit card and noticed on the shipment of the RotRL minis TWO payments - one matching the costs of the minis and another for around $50US? I can't find any orders for this amount. Was this the "test" payment for the minis?

Been a lot of that going around. I seem to have no less than 5 distinct charges (though they appear to total up correctly). From what I can tell, it seems to be related to multiple shipments for some odd reason.
My guess is the accounting system likes to have charges associated with shipments. But that is 100% a flat-out guess :)

Amazon does that. If you order everything at once but it ships in different boxes from different warehouses, you get billed separately for each shipment. Like ordering a PDF along with physical products and getting charged separately. Maybe since so many orders are shipping in multiple boxes due to the minis this time around?

We actually do that as well. We only charge for something when it ships/is made available. Therefore, when an order goes out in multiple shipments, it is charged multiple parts as each package goes out. This is the reason for gbonehead's multiple charges (well... that, and another issue we discussed elsewhere). However, Cat's order was not split up into multiple packages. It was just charged weirdly, and I don't really know why.
Thanks,

I have multiple charges as well. Two so far, one for $534.38 and one for $10.92, both of which don't add up to the $564.96 quoted in my invoice.
I'm not particularly concerned. It's just strange. I expect another charge(s) to show up so that the total is met. I vaguely remember something like this happening with H&M, but it's been a while.
