Questionable Feat Description?

Rules Questions

In my game I am a summoner and I have a serpentine based eidolon. I want to take the feat "final embrace" where I meet all the prerequisites. My question is in the description it says:

"You gain the constrict and grab special attacks. Your constrict attack deals damage equal to your unarmed strike or primary natural weapon melee attack. Further, you can grab and constrict opponents up to your size."

Does the part that says I gain the constrict and grab special attacks mean I get those two as free evolutions? Or is it just saying I benefit from the size of the victim and I still have to buy the evolutions with my pool?

Thanks:)

Neither. You get the grab and constrict special attacks (as described in the Bestiary), but those may not match the evolutions of the same name.

For instance, the Grab evolution only works on bite, claw, pincers, slam, tail slap or tentacle attacks, but the grab ability you get from Final Embrace works on every unarmed strike or a primary natural attack, as far as I can tell.

EDIT: Actually, the feat is a bit vague regarding exactly which attacks you get to apply grab + constrict to.

On that note, has there been any errata or FAQS regarding the fact that at some point in the Final Embrace Tree, the feat 'Ability Focus: Constrict' is a prerequisite--a feat which does absolutely nothing, since Constrict has no saving throw?

Either way I was just going to use constrict on my tail slap attack so does it matter which one it is?

The feat requires you to be a "naga, serpentfolk, or creature that has the constrict special attack". Which of those are you using to qualify for Final Embrace?

My DM said that because my eidolon is a serpentine I can use it as if that because it has the ability to get constrict(no other eidolon can). He did not say however about the free evolutions or the special attacks.

If your GM is allowing your eidolon to take Final Embrace without taking the Grab and Constrict evolutions, then by all means you shouldn't take them -- Final Embrace gives you grab and constrict, so there's no need to have two copies of the same ability.
