Citizens Commission to Investigate the FBI

[Clenched fist salute]

Cops Who Beat Homeless Man to Death Walk Free

I'm glad these guys are no longer cops, but I'm sad that they aren't looking at a life sentence. I had heard this story on the news, but not seen it online. Any idea why they were found not guilty?

Liberty's Edge

Most likely because they were cops, the victim was a "crazy bum", and its Orange county.

I couldn't say, although Citizen K(e)rensky's guess seems as good as any. I just saw the headline on Democracy Now! the other day and then recalled that we had talked about it back in the day.

I don't recall if we ever talked about CeCe McDonald (I almost wrote "CeCe Peniston", hee hee!) back in the day, but she got out.

In completely other news, a weekend or two ago, I was hanging out with the comrades, smokin' that stuff and goin' for a falafel when one of the comrades made a joke about how Rand Paul (or someone like that, I don't remember now, we were high) was going to be the Alexander Kerensky of the American revolution.

"Are you high?" I demanded.

"Yes," they answered, "why?"

"Kerensky was a member of the Socialist Revolutionary party, albeit on their right wing. Rand Paul gonna be the American Kerensky? You're trippin', comrade."

"Fine, Doodlebug. Who's going to be the Kerensky of the American Revolution?"

"Ralph Nader," I replied.

Corporate Malfeasance: The Office of the Future

Met with the writer yesterday to recruit him for the international proletarian socialist revolution, and we talked for a while about C&S Wholesale Foods. I'd always known them as the anti-union m$~&$&$@~%@%s who keep picking up the work that organized Teamster workshops used to do (my local's Stop and Shop location, for example, has mobilized multiple times to stop them from switching to a C&S robot factory), but apparently it isn't much fun to be a white collar wage slave for them either.

They say you need no union if your collar isn't blue,
Well that's just another lie the boss is telling you.

How is this thread still here?

Like a lot of threads around here, through my persistence.

Long time, no see. How've you been, A Stooge in Black?

Getting by. I thought about this place for the first time in ages the other day, so I figured I'd see how things were going. Not much seems to have changed.

Why would things have changed?

Which one are you waiting for? From Brazil to Turkey, from South Africa to Thailand, there's been quite a few these past couple of years.

Facebook Photos, but none of your friendly neighborhood red goblin, alas.

Not exactly my politics, but a fun read, nonetheless.

Dear Far Left,

Please consider bringing back torches and pitchforks.

You know, I much preferred it when Comrades Thorn and Knife did the police brutality stuff, but I've heard my comrades saying, "We've got to do more about this, we're just leaving the field clear for the libertarians" and I felt guilty, so:

As a cyclist and a new yorker, this strikes a chord with me. Will keep an eye out for increased quality of life bs and non bs. Diblasio has come under fire for wanting cops out of their car and physically walking a beat from some unusual critics.

glad to see things have improved, and there should be some real applause for that. But oversight is still needed for everyone.

Nothing?

Predictable.

What? What are you jabbering about?

I was merely asking if there was a different thread that had been started about police malfeasance, as I thought there had been.

What's with the predictable comment? Back-handed insult?
