Arcane Trickster build

A friend of mine is going to be playing an arcane trickster in Carrion Crown. I was wondering if anyone could provide some recommendations.

The rogue is gonna get shafted on sneak attack early on, so focusing on the arcane aspect more for the first coupe APs is recommended.

I'd recommend a more martial bend than the standard rogue/wizard.

I got a player transormed into a magus / rogue / AA, it seems to be much better off.

Magus / Ninja / AA or Magus / vivisectionist / AA might even be better options.

Magus/rogue is working very well for me in Jade Regent (just hit level 6, and I'll take the first AT level at 8th). Something to remember is maguses are melee only, so the traditional invisible raycaster from the back doesn't work with a magus build.

A decent option is ninja/sorcerer. You are more a traditional AT then, and ninjas get some really great tricks that aren't available to rogues.

Vivisectionist is a decent option, but you do have to juggle two spell lists. I think that a rogue/ninja trick plus evasion and trapfinding or ki pool are better than what vivisectionist provides. Magus or wizard are both solid options for the arcane spellcaster, with the sorcerer only coming in because of the stat synergy between ninja and sorcerer.

A Bard (Sandman)could work as well, but you do not get your second sneak attack dice until 10th level.

Are there any more guides the expert has created? Like say, an oracle perhaps?

Taking a level of assassin will get you in a level earlier than most traditional builds.
