I LOVE the new format!!! Big-time kudos for this direction change. The roles, the sayings, the snippets of knowledge, etc are just what a player needs to truly play a character from that part of the world. Totally awesome!!!!

Yay! SO glad you're digging it! Check out the blog tomorrow for even more on the new format and a glimpse of what's on the horizon!
Varisia is my first Player Companion and while I can't really comment on the change in format, I can say the format of this book is awesome. The chapters flow well and I love the (like Elorebaen said) the roles, sayings, and snippets of knowledge are great for making characters more authentic.
Looking forward to the next one!
