Wildshaped druid as a hawk riding on shoulder of another party member

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

I have a PFS character, a druid, that just hit level 6 and can now wildshape into tiny animals. Hawk seems like a great choice, and I'm envisioning my character hanging out on the shoulder of other party members.

Are there any rules that deal with this sort of thing as far as enemies targeting the druid while it's "riding" another PC?

Grand Lodge

Yes.... targeting your druid is just as easy when it's riding on someone else as it is by itself. The only exception is when positioning gives one or the other a cover bonus for AC dependent attacks.

Also unless the character you're using as a horse, has protection, your talons will tear his shoulder to shreds.

Liberty's Edge

If your character in hawk form is being "innocent" during a fight, then he/she may never be targeted at all.

If casting spells, acting 'intelligently', etc, it may become a target.

Enemies may freely attack the hawk-druid, unless another character actively gets in the way and acts as cover.

LazarX has a point, though I assume you'll be riding on a shoulder of someone who is armored. The wizard would not appreciate holes in their robe...nor could their feeble strength hold you up ("My shoulder...buckling...").
