Does Magical Knack actually increase your spell progression?

For instance, if I have Magical Knack (Cleric), and I'm a Level 1 Cleric and Level 3 Wizard, does Magical Knack increase my spells in my Cleric level up to Level 3 (giving me access to Level 2 Divine Magic)?

No.

It affects you're effective caster level which is increased by 2, affecting range, duration, damage, etc.
