I'm working on two builds for friends in our new Skulls & Shackles campaign, and I am going to do two different threads, one for each.
The second one is a Joker-inspired Bard, with no particular focus, though I think his main inspiration is the Joker from the Batman: Arkham Asylum video games (I've never played them).
When I mentioned the Hideous Laughter spell, he was all for that, so I went with Bard.
He mentioned wanting to be decent with a knife, so I chose the Sandman archetype for him, which he was good with.
I'm not sure what to do from there. This will probably be the party buffer and enemy de-buffer, and when I mentioned the Leadership feat in our first session last night, he was really interested in going for it.
Any ideas on where to take the build from here?

Joker's main powers are plot armor, which is hard to do with game powers, but the only thing that sticks out in my mind as "stuff Joker does" besides what you already mentioned is explosives. Joker tends to bomb and burn things a lot. It goes with his love of chaos and destruction.
Also he likes to terrify people while delivering exposition. Long, dark jokes and strangely hilarious nonsensical stories that deliver an intimidate check.
