Who's going to Gen Con? :-)
This will be my first year attending Gen Con, and I'm also relatively new to PFS, though I've been gaming for decades to include the RPGA. I have a few questions regarding the way PFS modules will be run at Gen Con...
1) Tickets are expensive. Does it have to be that way?
2) How do I sign up to play in different modules?
3) Does signing up for PFS modules cost extra money?
4) Will there be open slots for players who arrive on Saturday and Sunday, or is it usually entirely full?
5) Thanks :-) any other tips you might have for me???

Who's going to Gen Con? :-)
This will be my first year attending Gen Con, and I'm also relatively new to PFS, though I've been gaming for decades to include the RPGA. I have a few questions regarding the way PFS modules will be run at Gen Con...
1) Tickets are expensive. Does it have to be that way?
Paizo adds nothing to the cost of a 5 hour ticket. GenCon charges $2 per 2-hours. Game sponsors may add to the cost, if they have a reason, but Paizo doesn't. I Think the RPGA charged $10 for a 5-hour slot.
2) How do I sign up to play in different modules?
At this point you need to show up at GenCon and register on site. Expect to wait a long time in lines. First to get a badge to get in and then to get tickets. Buy generics.
3) Does signing up for PFS modules cost extra money?
Yes/No. Just the $6 ticket for the module you get at registration.
4) Will there be open slots for players who arrive on Saturday and Sunday, or is it usually entirely full?
Sunday has the most openings. I believe my last stat showed almost 90% sold out. I expect that any Saturday tickets may sell out by Friday.
5) Thanks :-) any other tips you might have for me???
Yes. Go! Have Fun! Buy generic tickets to get into games that people don't show up for.
