Advanced Player's Guide pregens are on hold, but it turns out we're finishing up a book full of pregens of all 11 Core Rulebook pregens in the next few weeks. Adapting these to Pathfinder Society legality and getting them up as free PDFs won't take a ton of time once that's done, but there are a lot of other tasks on everyone's plate. It likely won't be before Gen Con, but there will still be 7 different pregens at 3 different levels each for use at the con, so anyone coming new to the game or playing an adventure they don't have a PC for will still have many options to choose from.

My vote is that this should be one of the last things on their lists. Pre-gens are supposed to be one shot characters. What is the difference between having 7 or 20 if you are only going to use them once. Sure the DM's are overly familar with them, but not the people who play them.
I would much rather have time devoted to updating season 0 scenarios and producing good new matterial.

I agree that new pregens shouldn't be near the top of the list, but they do serve a useful purpose for many players, which is getting their feet wet with a class or build they may not normally think of playing, but want to try.
Yes, after August 16th, they could build such a PC as a one-shot, and rebuild it if they decide they don't like it, but that would only be for what the class/build feels like at 1st level, while the pregens would allow trying the class out at higher levels.

Nebten, you're missing the other point of pregens: providing a way to seat players who would be ineligible due to their PC not being high enough. It's fairly important for organizers to have the option.
It's also fairly detrimental to the players on such tables with "real characters" - they have skin in the game the players of the pregens don't.

None of which are PFS legal. Similar to how the latest Free RPG day module pregens are not legal either.
