Let them eat apple cake

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

No seriously it costs as much as a loaf of bread 2cp. This wouldn't make sense if it was allowed in Galt wouldn't they eat this if bread got too expensive. Or is this like this food item freaking broken. So should we start saying apple cake instead of cheese since apple cake is better.

Liberty's Edge

Well, cake is actually really cheap to make. No more so than bread. If we're talking just cake-bread, here.

The icing and decorations etc... that's extra.

Which product are you finding the price for cake in? Does it specify whether the price is for a whole cake or a single serving? The latter would make much more sense.

Also, presumably the price of cake would scale with the price of bread, so as bread becomes more expensive, so would cake.

Vive le Galt!

GAmemastery Guide page 201. For a piece makes sense but is tied for the cheapest thing on the tavern menu items.

The cake is a lie.

Sovereign Court

Well, I for one am shocked and dismayed.

My suspension of disbelief is ruined by cheap cake. Ruined!

I can no longer accept that fireball's existence, not as long as the verisimilitude is torn to shreds by this slightly under-priced cake.

Oh, Paizo! How could you fail us like this! How!

each to their own, i suppose:

explosive runes!
