Vehicle Rules for 250+ square ships?

I just stated out the Mahmudiye, an Ottoman ship-of-the-line that comes out to having 700 squares. It was 250 ft long and 70 ft wide, had 128 guns, and three gun decks.

Wouldn't this fall in some category higher than colossal? I know we don't have one but this thing just seems too large to use the colossal statistics.

There are no categories bigger than colossal.

James Jacobs hinted once when talking about Godzilla-sized monsters that he might invent one for a hypothetical Epic/Mythic Level book. There is nothing right now.

The Star Wars d20/Saga game used a separate "Starship Scale" that invented new ship sizes.

Can you post the stats? Do you have deck plan for it?

Both the stats and the deck plan will be in a PDF my friends and I are working on it.

Needless to say, this ship is massive, and I think I am going to change the CMB, CMD, AC, and the ramming damage to reflect the massive size of this thing.

We might have to expand on that in our PDF.

I will second the Starwars d20/saga system. The d20 might even be worth buying if vehicular combat is really big part of the campaign. (If you want to get away with little less work)

But basically the gist of it is that normal vehicles follow the normal size thing but starships work little different. A fine sized starship is equal to large Creature so escape pod for example. While Small which is equal to normal Colossal is millennium falcon.

So not seeing the blueprints I would say that particular ship would be on the low end of the Large or high end of Medium in the starship size category. So one or two size category's higher than usual Colossal.

I believe one book even had slightly higher size category for space stations. Well I would reckon you should not see any vessels bigger than a Star destroyer so a moot point anyways.

We used these rules with pretty high modification in an Eberron campaign involving airships. They worked pretty well.

In the end it really depends how big of a part of the campaign this will be if it merits figuring out the rules.

Oh and I would love to see the whole thing when it's fully stated out.

Having the same problem. I've got close to 40 Spelljammer ships almost converted but the size issue is glaring. Also having trouble figuring out the base saves for them....

You could just make one up and extrapolate the size modifiers from the ones that already exist.

Some of the stats, like base save, is just made up.

As an update, in the six months since I originally posted the project has stalled. I decided to pick up and work on it alone, but I am separating the book into three parts. One each for land, water, and air.

No idea when I will have it finished, but I do plan on expanding the sizes.
