Blocking or parrying a range spell

Rules Questions

Could a Black Blade Magus block parry or deflect a scorching ray spell? If so what would they need to do so ? Thanks

edit: Probably not, because the sword is part of his equipment. If a touch spell hits his equipment, it hits him.

He could block, parry or deflect a spell that makes a standard ranged attack against his AC with the same game abilities that he would use to block, parry or deflect an arrow.

Pretty much this. If the attack is a ranged touch attack, then the character can treat it as if it were an arrow in regards to feats and class features that partain to blocking, parrying, or deflecting arrows.

If the attack is just a random ranged spell without needing to roll for AC to hit, I don't think it would be affected by feats or class features.

Honestly? I say you just Quicken Counterspell it, that's the safest (and hopefully legal) way to avoid it.
