I've played a campaign in which my male character was turned into a female, as a secondary result of walking through a strange portal. From that point onward, I had to play knowing my character's sex was not the same.
Recently I've been looking at some of the other races characters can play, and I came across the Changeling. The description says that they HAVE to be female.
My question is: what would happen to a female Changeling if it were to be magically turned in a male?

When WotC did a race that was the children of hags, they were the all-male hagspawn, in Unapproachable East, a Forgotten Realms source book. They were ECL +2 Monstrous Humanoids with SR 11+ CL. Might take a look at that book if you have a copy, just for inspiration.

You'd just have a male changeling. If we're going strictly by the rules, the only gender restriction on changelings is that they have to be born female*. After that, all bets are off.
*Personally I'd be open to the idea of non-female changelings, but if we're talking about "by the book"...

That's what I kinda figured, but I wasn't sure if it was something where they might lose some of their racial abilities, like their Hag Traits for example. I suppose it would vary depending on the DM you're playing for, but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a rule I was missing or anything.
Thank you!
