No Summon Monster Summoner?

Homebrew and House Rules

Looking for either a pre-existing archetype that replaces the summon monster spell-like ability of the summoner (other than the half-orc one), or ideas for doing so. At the moment, I honestly have no ideas for doing so, but really have no interest in actually summoning outside of the eidolon. (Frankly, I'd probably play a conjurer if I did...)

Does it have to be a PF archetype, or are 3rd party and homebrew options too?

3PP and Homebrew are potential options with my GM. Hence posting in this forum. As far as I know, the only PF one that does it is the half-orc one, and I don't much plan on having my eidolon feast on my enemies.

Two archetypes can be found here then.

There is the Blood God Disciple archetype for Half-Orc summoners in the Advanced Race Guide. It replaces all summon monster spell-like abilities... with an ability that lets your eidolon eat fallen foes to grant your character temporary evolutions. Yea, it doesn't work with all character concepts.

MaverickWolf specified other than the half-orc one.

Eridanus Games' Grittier Rules has two summoner archetypes that replace the summon monster SLA...but also the Eidolon as well.

Quote:

Puppet Master

Not every summoner relies on bonding with
physical outsiders. The puppet master calls
forth and traps elemental outsiders inside
material objects and controls them as a mas-ter controls a slave.
Quote:

Creator

While a summoner brings life from another
plane and the puppet master enslaves one,
the creator makes life out of his own. It is no
wonder some powerful creators believe them-selves gods.

Yeah, plan on keeping the eidolon. Just don't want to track stats on the summons.

you could use mine in the mca 3 thread. It hasn't been vetted yet, but its pretty solid.

Where are these two?

You could just ignore the ability actually. summoner is a solid class even without it IMO.

Search this site for Grittier Rules and look for a product by Eridanus.

I use the absolutely brilliant Summoner app to take care of that.
