Does the Dog-Sniff-Hate trait, allow you to take the Scent of Fear feat?

I would probably rule that you could gain it against dogs, wolves and so on - but RAW, no go, as you do not have the (universal) scent ability.

Although limited, it is in all ways scent, and counts as such.

The Scent of Fear feat does not require a "universal" scent, only the scent ability.

Unless you can point out where within RAW this is untrue, it seem to work.
