The Book of Drakes

Product Discussion

Hi,
I am looking to include some Drakes in setting and adventure material I am writing.
I am not entirely satisfied with the Drakes in the bestiaries. I would like to know if the Drakes in Open Design "The Book of Drakes" or FGG's "Tome of Horrors" would suit my purposes better.

Are the Drakes in either of these resources 4 legged?

Is the material from Open Design OGL? I.e, would I be able to reprint the stat blocks if I want to publish the material I use them in down the road?

Is the art in The Book of Drakes anywhere near as gorgeous as the cover?

The drakes in ToH, having been the original 3.5 drakes, do have four legs.

Thanks. Another good reason to get ToH, on top of the awesome Fey and creepy plants and statted Demon Lords 0_0

The Exchange

The Book of Drakes has at least some 4 legged drakes. And the artwork is amazing!

The artwork *is* amazing, and ENnie-nominated! :)

The true answer, as every one of us here knows, is to buy both.

The Book of Drakes. Tome of Horrors. Only difference? I've had drinks with both authors of the Drakes book. So, you know, those Tome of Horrors guys need to help me run up a bar tab.

But, yeah, use both. The PF Tome of Horrors is an awesome thing, even if you only use it for home defense.

An excellent idea, sir! :D

Can't go wrong with either. :)
